{my intentions}

I like to keep my blog for the most part light and fluffy.   But today I feel like I just want to ramble...
 I am a lucky girl.  I LOVE so many people.
I have a wonderful loving family.
I love them, I mean LOVE to the MOON and back kind of LOVE.
They have shaped me and made me who I am today.
 I would do anything for each and everyone of them.    I have wonderful friends that fill all the cracks and voids and make my life so very happy.    My friends have come from many stages in my life.
Some I don't see as often as I would like and others I see daily.   The ammount of time that passes between some of our visits never seems to waiver our friendship.   I hope that each and every one of my friends know that have good intentions, and I love them.  And truthfully if you are my friend and you don't know this then well, I don't know that we are really friends, honestly.
 I love the close bond I share with each and everyone one of them (you).
I love that you know that I am always here for them (you).
I want to teach my daughter the value of these types of relationships.
I want her to always be kind.   And always protect the ones she loves.
And always try to have good intentions.
I want her to know that I try too.

{And I would hope that my loved ones do too.}

"The most important distinction between
aggression and assertion is the intention.
During assertion, we move ourselves toward
another; during aggression, we move
ourselves against another"

A Mommas Desires and Pacifiers

 I had to google Miss Grant - and is it just me or does she look like she could be in drag?
And does that mean that I could also...

WARNING: if you are already having a bad day - this little exercise may not be for you.
I will now be taking my Miss Albright ass to stock up on wrinkle care.

{thirty three}

this year I didn't dread the "birthday".   I actually was looking forward to it.
I don't know if it is me getting older, or just that I honestly feel soo good about things.
I am happy.   I am blessed.  I have a beautiful daughter who brightens my world each day.
I have a wonderful husband, that I LOVE.   I feel like together he and I can do anything.

This year my birthday was on Friday the 13th.
{Random fact - I was also born on Friday the 13th, and so was my sister}.
I woke up early.  I was excited.  I had a goal that I wanted to weigh 33 lbs less on my 33rd birthday.
And I did it.  It felt sooo incredibly good.
{-33lbs}

I had taken the day off work.    Rob still had to work, but he gave me a sweet card.
When Addison woke up I got another sweet card.

She drew this picture of our family.
and included her "A" in the spot for her name.

We had a fun afternoon at City Creek.  {omg, it is amazing}
I had a little too much fun at the H & M store.

After a fun afternoon Rob had planned a dinner with the whole family.
He gave me my present.   I am soooo excited to get it, he had to pre order it.
{he had a little help from my sister - but I am sooo excited}

And for the record, I did not weigh this morning.   I ate like crap this weekend.  And I am paying for it.
I don't feel well at all!   Today I am back on the wagon.

I look forward to a wonderful year...
making more memories, taking more pictures, and shedding more pounds!

especially with this cute girl.

and if you are on instagram, look me up!    breeellen13

{ring bling}

I saw the Ring Bling Link Up, and just knew it was my cup of tea. I LOVE diamonds; but what girl doesn't, right? And I have never told my engagement story on my blog...
even though it was many moons ago!
How we met is something I am going to save for Valentine’s Day.

So stay tuned...

Like I said many, many moons ago... like December 2001. Rob came with me to my family Christmas party. Like my whole family. We are talking 50 + people. It was the normal kind of Christmas party, with a Santa and all. Santa called each of the little kids up, one by one. THEN Santa called me up.
I sat on his lap, and he handed me a little box.
I opened that little box, which held the ugliest wedding band EVER. Complete with a missing diamond. Turns out my ENTIRE family was in on it. They kept telling me how pretty it was.
Rob said it was his mom's ring.... Honestly I was in shock.
Really? Who in the hell does this?

I wanted the joke to be over... but it kept going.

He then gave me my real ring.

After he learned just what a spoiled brat I can be. Come to find out, Rob and his mom hit up the local thrift store to find the ugliest ring they could find.
When they saw one minus a diamond they knew it was the one. And .75 later, he had a ring.

**I promise I will dig the ring he gave me out of a box to show you all. It was awful, ladies. Awful.**

We were married in 2003.
{I LOVE my ring.}

**mother's day**

Yesterday was a beautiful excuse to remind myself of the blessing that I have been given. For so many years... I wanted to be a Mommy. I remember when I would watch my niece and her simple slip of the tongue, calling me 'mommy' made my day. I wanted that with all of my heart.
I remember the weekend before we found out so clearly it's weird... I remember having a conversation with Rob, we were in Moab on the cliff hanger trail in the jeep. We were talking about baby names. Weird... really weird. I remember telling him that I really needed to make an appointment with my Dr. when we get back because I swear I had another ovarian cyst - I didn't remember having cramps like that before. We came back a day early to go to the dentist. For some weird reason I took a pregnancy test before bed... there was 1 and a half lines... NEVER had I had more than one... and another weird note - I didn't tell Rob. We intended on sleeping in until the phone rang. It was my Dr's office - yet again calling me that my blood tests showed again no ovulation (I was on chlomid). They were telling me that they would again up my dose and I was to try again next month. It was early. I wasn't thinking straight. I said okay and hung up. On the way to the dentist my mom called. I told her about the test... Rob was in the back ground upset that I didn't say anything. She suggested that I call my Dr back and run it by them. I did - and they wanted me to come in for a blood test.
We went in - they drew the blood - and we sat in the waiting room until my name was called. They took us into a room. The nurse asked me when I last had my period and she took her little round thingy and told us a due date - WHAT? We both started sobbing.... I remember she got this look on her face - and asked, "was this planned"? I was going to be a mom... The Dr. did an ultra sound - we saw the heart beat... I was really really going to be a mom...!

My baby is almost two... and she tells me everyday - I love you Mommy!
