{Christmas 2011}

I will admit we didn't do everything we wanted to, but we did make this Christmas as magical as possible.
Making memories and keeping traditions are important to me.
Here is a recap of our Christmas:

  {Christmas Eve Eve}

{Santa at Mommy's office}

{it was such a nice day, we fed the horses afterwards}
{then it was off to Grandpa & Grandma Gowers - we had dinner and opened gifts, hence the new bike.}
{Christmas Eve}
We woke up to Rob saying, lets throw some clothes on and grab some breakfast.  So off we went in sweats and hats.   After breakfast we went to grab some gift cards... and Rob had another idea... ICECREAM.
After naps we headed to dinner at my mom's.  Prime Rib, need I say more.

My parents got Addison a baby and real makeup.  It is now hidden at my house ;)
Addison also got her Christmas PJ's.  When I noticed I hadn't seen her for a minute, I found her in the kitchen looking at all my mom's christmas knick knacks in the cabinet.  I have memories of all of them.
Bubba let Addison make him up, lol.
{crap... I got caught kissing Santa}

{Christmas DAY}

Santa came!
{Addison's was so excited}
My parents came over for breakfast.   After that we headed to Rob's family dinner.
LOVE the holidays.
Here is to a Fabulous NEW YEAR!

{Neighborhood Christmas Party}

The last few years we have had a neighborhood potluck with Santa, in lieu of exchanging neighbor gifts.
 I love not having the stress of putting neighbor gifts together,
and then there is the plus side of hanging out with my awesome neighbors.   LOVE them.
Here are a few pics with this guy in Red.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

{Christmas Morning Breakfast}

This is a tradition at our house.   I make it on Christmas Eve and pop it in the oven before we open presents the next morning.  So very very yummy!
Ingredients:

1 pound ground pork sausage

1 tsp mustard powder

½ tsp salt

4 eggs, beaten

2 cups milk

6 slices white bread, toasted and buttered, cut into cubes

8 ounces mild cheddar cheese, shredded

Preparation:

Crumble sausage into medium skillet, cook over med heat until evenly brown, drain.

In a medium bowl, mix together mustard powder, salt, eggs, and milk. Add the sausage, bread cubes, and cheese and stir to coat evenly.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.

Preheat oven to 30 degrees. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until set.

We have topped with salsa, sour cream or ketchup.

Craftabulous: Christmas Topiary

**WARNING**
EXTREMLY EASY!
I wanted something tall, sparkly, and shiny for my shelf.
 I wanted to change it up from last year.
I took some left over larger ornaments and glued them together.
Biggest to smallest.

Love how it turned out and  it was exactly was this
 little display needed.
What do you think?

{making memories}

Last night we set out to get Addison her tree.     A tree that she picked out by herself, with some coaxing from me after she picked out a purple flocked tree.   We settled on a 4 ft beauty and a stop at Wal-Mart for some purple star ornaments.  I know I have said it before... but I can't get over how magical how all of this has been.     I want to eat up every morsel and tuck it away to remember forever and always.  From the deepest depths of my heart, I love it.  I am in heaven with my baby girl.

M & T tree lot, on 90th & State.
This is the second year we have been here and
once again they did not disapoint.

We were greated by the big man himself.
Addison ate it up.

{a real live reindeer!}
yup, and my baby girl got to spend a few minutes in the pen.
She was in heaven.

"come here Reindeer".

{........creepy Santa and all!}

{see the mystery man in the red coat?  There is a SLIGHT resemblance to Timmy Mcgraw}
And I even got a jab in about how I saw him on "Sister Wives".

{Addison LOVED Chester, Santa's pet Reindeer.  He doesn't fly}
 *********
and a perfect ending...
I am so THANKFUL for these little moments. Head over to ISO - and join the challenge.
Do I have to mention they are doing a GIVE A WAY.  Now go!!!
