My {tiny dancer} started dance. We went to her first class on Monday... it was a cry fest. She was sooo excited the days leading up to this. But when we got there is was too much. It went nothing like I excpected. She was so shy, but I could tell she wanted too. There were a lot of tears shed

to be honest... I get that a lot. No lie.

I am married to my best friend. A man 95% of the time I feel I don't deserve.

{I know you are probably rolling your eyes at this point but keep reading}

Our relationship hasn't always been rainbows & unicorns.

Since we are approaching the big day of LOVE. I wanted to touch on this topic. Maybe even get some feedback...

I am happy. My husband is amazing. Our LOVE is amazing.

But it takes work. It isn't easy. And I AM LUCKY. I know that.

I literally get 10 texts a day from my hubs, a lot of them may or may not be him asking me to send him pictures (keeping it real people), or saying he loves me.

I am constantly being told I am beautiful, sexy, his everything.

This is where the part that I don't feel like I deserve him....

I NEED to get better at giving it back to him. AND maybe if your relationship needs a swift kick in the can...

You can run with some of the things I am going to be doing to step up my game:

1. SEX - (yup) I said it. My husband is a man. Men want it. If he wants it three times a day... well I will give in maybe two of those time, all kidding aside. Make your husband feel loved, and WANTED. It's a big ego killer to them when they are told no.

2. SEX - yup again - do the deed again. And this time don't be asked... you initiate it.

3. Feed his ego... remind him why you fell in love with him. Tell him how good he looks.

4. FEED him. Make his favorite meals.

5. DATE him, we went out a few weekends ago and we are going to be doing it more often.

6. MAKE OUT.

7. SEX - do it.

8. Spice it up a bit....send those racy pics, send him fun texts during the day.

9. TALK - sometimes we get so busy in life just talking is taken for granted. Say I LOVE YOU.

Serioulsy, it is said in our home hundreds of times during the day... Say it more!

10. LOVE ME - I feel alot better when I feel good. I am going to continue the working out, and maybe spend that extra 5 min and shave ma legs... every day, lol

The first thing I did was fix the lil bit of green sun flare, I got rid of it...

I then enhanced the color saturation to warm of the photo a bit.

I finished it up by boosting the colors entirely.

I think it gave it a nice eveningsunwarmyfeeling, lol.

I'm back Why can't this be easy?... what you ask. WEIGHT LOSS.

It's seems like every time I jump on the road - I hit bumps. This last few weeks, I am not going to lie... Have been so hard. It started with a two week headache - turned into sinus infection and along with that girl problems to boot! I have a condition called PCOS. It sucks. It is the reason why Addison is our miracle baby and why she just might be it for us. Long story short my Dr. put me on a ten day course of extra hormones to restart things.. Extra hormones are ~~such FUN~~! a PAIN IN THE ASS!

I want to eat everything in sight. I won't mention the mood swings.

And the will power went out the window.

BUT

**I swear that eye of the tiger just started on the radio... I swear! ha, that is funny!**

I AM ON IT. My hubs has been by far the biggest inspiration to me. He has not eaten fast food since Christmas... he works out constantly. Swear, he even ate some asparagus last night. If you know him, you know that is HUGE. The last few weeks I have laid in bed and watched him work his butt off. This am...

He got my sorry but up - and I did my first workout, in a long time.

This week we have gotten our house ready for Valentines day... which included some last minute crafts.

I was cutting out some paper when the bug wanted to help. I gave her a heart punch and she went to work. Just then baby girl said..." I am having so much fun with you". That my friends was music to my ears. That moment was so unexpected, so simple. Her and I having girl time, and she was LOVING it. Life gets so hectic and these little minutes mean so much to our kiddo's.

I saw a commercial the other day... and it got me interested. I LOVE me some Clinique, all about eyes.

BUT I hate the price. So when I saw the commercial for this, I had to try it.

{you see I wake up looking like this...}

Okay I didn't take a "before pic" so I had to improvise.

BUT... I have to say.... I LOVE how it made my eyes feel. It was cooling to my skin, and I was loving the texture. It was very easy to work with. And the soft little applicator thing on the end.... sooo soft.

I softened, and boosted the colors, bringing out the reds...even in the trees.

This was totally Pinterest inspired. However... I am taking the credit for this one. It came out of my lil old noggin. And super EASY and CUTE too boot! I'm sure you have all see the coffee filter wreaths.

LOVE THEM.

I needed something non red for my door. And something new for Valentines Day.

Like I said it was super easy.

Here are the supplies you will need.....

1. Cardboard box (or something that will give you a big enough piece of cardboard for your heart.
2. sharp knife
3. glue sticks
4. glue gun
5. marker or something else with a not to small tip... in this case, my daughter's lip gloss
6. Coffee filters (from the $ store).

{I forgot to metion this project, cost me a total of 4 glue sticks and 1.08, for the coffee filters.}

1. cut a piece of cardboard. Draw your desired heart shape.
2. cut out your heart shape.

3. take a coffee filter and center it on your "lipgloss". Put a dab of glue on it and stick it to the card board & repeat until the card board is filled. I used about 170 filters. But it went really fast. I was done in under an hour. OH.... and squish the filters as you go.

Last night was the second Friday of the month, which for me... means girls night with the Bunco ladies. Rob had planned a little date with his favorite lil girl. Earlier in the day Rob told her he was taking her to a hockey game. I asked her what she wanted to wear... she said, "her baseball shirt and her baseball shoes. LOVE this lil girl. And I love that she is going to grow up with such a special relationship with her daddy.

WEEK TWO - Weight loss {w/ update}

I successfully made it through my first week. I am proud of my results so far. I have to admit, I was aided by a little bug or something Saturday & Sunday. I never really got sick... I just didn't feel well.

And I feel 100 % today. Weird.

Soooo as for exercise, I did get my butt out there on Friday.

I hit a park close to my house, with a track around it.

I jogged around once without stopping.

**sheesh**

I seriously thought I was going to die. But when I hit the spot where I told myself I could walk.

I was so proud of what I did.

I was proud of myself.

AND THAT FEELS GOOD.

I read an article last week about people that had kept the weight off they had lost.

One for them said she asks herself before eating unhealthy,

"is this food really good enough to end up going back to the way I used to look?".

NOPE.

{We watched my niece and nephew this weekend}

We hit a movie - I drank a huge water.

We went to lunch - I had a ton of salad.

We went out for ice cream.....MY WEAKNESS.

I ordered one scoop (because I had been good during the day)

with hot fudge on the side.

I didn't even eat half. I put my napkin over the rest, so I wouldn't be tempted.

And honestly the thing that has helped the most.

MY HUBS.

He has been working out and watching what he eats.

Since he quit smoking over 2 years ago the weight sneaked up on him.

He has lost over 20lbs, and is under 200lbs. His goal is 10 more pounds.

I only wish.

It is sort of like entering the danger zone for me.
This is what I ate today:
7.5 WW points for the entire bag.

It is waaaay better than running through a drive-thru or going to the vending machine.
And my lil cutie wasn't helping mom with getting out the door quickly this morning.
My plan is to pack a healthy lunch.
**and no I am not officially doing WW. I have in the past.
So I am trying to stick to the points I was allowed then.**

The weekend before Christmas we went to Maddin's dance recital. She made me a very proud auntie. She looked waaaay to old. But the girl looked gorgeous.

I didn't think that baby girl would be able to sit through the entire performance.

I will admit. This week was off to a not so good start. We had tickets to the Jazz game on Monday night, in the Budweiser suite. Imbibed I did. However, I weighed in the next morning. **gasp**.

I saw the Ring Bling Link Up, and just knew it was my cup of tea. I LOVE diamonds; but what girl doesn't, right? And I have never told my engagement story on my blog...

even though it was many moons ago!

How we met is something I am going to save for Valentine’s Day.

So stay tuned...

Like I said many, many moons ago... like December 2001. Rob came with me to my family Christmas party. Like my whole family. We are talking 50 + people. It was the normal kind of Christmas party, with a Santa and all. Santa called each of the little kids up, one by one. THEN Santa called me up.

I sat on his lap, and he handed me a little box.

I opened that little box, which held the ugliest wedding band EVER. Complete with a missing diamond. Turns out my ENTIRE family was in on it. They kept telling me how pretty it was.

Rob said it was his mom's ring.... Honestly I was in shock.

Really? Who in the hell does this?

I wanted the joke to be over... but it kept going.

He then gave me my real ring.

After he learned just what a spoiled brat I can be. Come to find out, Rob and his mom hit up the local thrift store to find the ugliest ring they could find.

When they saw one minus a diamond they knew it was the one. And .75 later, he had a ring.

**I promise I will dig the ring he gave me out of a box to show you all. It was awful, ladies. Awful.**

We were married in 2003.

I am setting goals,

{Christmas 2011}

I will admit we didn't do everything we wanted to, but we did make this Christmas as magical as possible.

Making memories and keeping traditions are important to me.

Here is a recap of our Christmas:

We woke up to Rob saying, lets throw some clothes on and grab some breakfast. So off we went in sweats and hats. After breakfast we went to grab some gift cards... and Rob had another idea... ICECREAM.

After naps we headed to dinner at my mom's. Prime Rib, need I say more.

My parents got Addison a baby and real makeup. It is now hidden at my house ;)

Addison also got her Christmas PJ's. When I noticed I hadn't seen her for a minute, I found her in the kitchen looking at all my mom's christmas knick knacks in the cabinet. I have memories of all of them.

Bubba let Addison make him up, lol.

**Christmas Bus**

I would like to share an experience with you all, about drinking and driving. As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many. Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I've never done before - I took a bus home.

I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I've never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it.

Love love love having a little one. Christmas morning was so magical. Addison had asked Santa for a baby. Sweet Santa brought her a couple. He also brought her a shopping cart and high chair for them. She was so excited.... her favorite thing she received... coupons that Robs mom had cut out and her own book to put them in. She has slept with them under her pillow. How funny is that? What was your kids favorite?

{Christmas Morning Breakfast}

This is a tradition at our house. I make it on Christmas Eve and pop it in the oven before we open presents the next morning. So very very yummy!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground pork sausage

1 tsp mustard powder

½ tsp salt

4 eggs, beaten

2 cups milk

6 slices white bread, toasted and buttered, cut into cubes

8 ounces mild cheddar cheese, shredded

Preparation:

Crumble sausage into medium skillet, cook over med heat until evenly brown, drain.

In a medium bowl, mix together mustard powder, salt, eggs, and milk. Add the sausage, bread cubes, and cheese and stir to coat evenly.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.

Preheat oven to 30 degrees. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until set.

We have topped with salsa, sour cream or ketchup.

I will admit. I am not the animal lover that my husband and daughter are. I wasn't raised to be. My mom hates cats... I blame her. We always had a dog growing up, but they were kept outside. Rob was totally raised the opposite. He had rabbits, dogs, chickens, goats and they all lived in the house. Kidding people.

He had pets, his mother is a dog freak. Her dog lives a better life than most humans. However, my daughter is for sure her grandaughter. Addison LOVES the "boys". At times I feel bad. My daughter plays with our dogs like they are her siblings. She talks to them like they know what she is saying and acts as if they actually are responding. Other times... she drags them by there collars and bosses them around. They are great with her, and put up with alot. They have to, if they know whats good for them.

Almost... two years ago (on December 19th) my friend delivered a baby girl that just happened to have a little something extra special. A baby girl that has blessed so many of us in ways we didn't know possible. My sweet husband added a donation box to our Christmas display with 100% of donations going to the UDSF: Utah Down Syndrome Foundation in Dylan's name. Christmas is about miracles and blessings, both of which Dylan is. Our Address is 6388 S. Wakefield Way (5885 W.) SLC, UT

so in the name of donations, lets ignore my slip up. uhm okay!

I grew up going to temple square every Christmas. We haven't gone the past two yeas as we didn't want to take Addison out in the cold. It was fun seeing her light up. I love my family, just sayin!

Last night we set out to get Addison her tree. A tree that she picked out by herself, with some coaxing from me after she picked out a purple flocked tree. We settled on a 4 ft beauty and a stop at Wal-Mart for some purple star ornaments. I know I have said it before... but I can't get over how magical how all of this has been. I want to eat up every morsel and tuck it away to remember forever and always. From the deepest depths of my heart, I love it. I am in heaven with my baby girl.

That's right... I'm in the dog house.

This morning my sweet, hot and

very sexy hubby asked me to help find a hoodie

(did I mention he is hot).

I went to the coat closet...

and there I stumbled upon a "Barbie" sticker.

It was like 4x6 in size and looked like a name tag.

*I stuck it on his back as he went out the door*

He called me around 11:00 am. I just tried to feel him out and then I said something about "Barbie". He immediatly asked why I said that. I said didn't the boys tell you... I put a sticker on your back. He laughed for a minute... then mumbled something about everyone calling him Barbie all morning and then **click**.

He is still really mad. But I am still thinking it was pretty funny....

I guess I will have to make things up to him. And I know just trick.

In the mean time... say a prayer for me.

On another note:

Last night I put my sofa table together. I used this awesome thrift find (by Kirby). I stuck the snowman in the middle, added some fake snow and there ya go. Glass + lights + holidays = magic.

Again Rob - I LOVE you.

I am sorry. Maybe some Tim will make ~~you~~ me feel better.

{recap: Thanksgiving Weekend}

Four days spent with family... is HEAVEN.

It was a super busy weekend but I am pretty sure we made the best of it. Rob got his lights done and ready to display on Thanksgiving night. He has actually been hired by a few other people to do there lights as well. HOWEVER... on Saturday night - two little jerks slashed Rob's new snowman, that wasn't cheap. They are lucky Rob didn't find them. I serioulsy would of let him beat the SH** right out of them. I was sooo mad. I can't say that I have ever seen Rob remain so calm - he sat on the lawn in the freezing weather and stiched it back up. I can't believe that someone would do that. It was 9 pm! I can't talk about it anymore or the words are going to get worse. Merry Christmas, right.

I am blessed. And she is one more reason why. Knowing what I know now. Looking back on my life.

I have a great family.
I have many many wonderful memories. Which most can be attributed to my mom.

My mom has 3 children.

{weekend recap and deep breathing}

This past weekend I was all amped up. I BLAME PINTREST. I wanted to organize, decorate, clean, cook... and do it in two days.

Saturday I asked Rob to bring the tree out of storage. He did. And there is sat in the box until Sunday. I decided to paint. I have been wanting to do it for awhile. So I headed to Wally World (aka Walmart......., i know, i know but it's 2 min from my house). I decided on the color - open sesame. I was going to get this red wall covered and it was only going to take me 2 hours in my head, as it was now 1 pm. I finished at 1am. But it's done. I LOVE it. It is a huge change. I love the contrast with my white shutters. Try to see past the sparse decor, since my decorations where taken down to be replaced with Christmas. It's almost exhausting how much pinterest projects. I NEED and WANT to get done.

What am I in LOVE with right this second...? My life. My family. My husband. My daughter & the extra MAGIC that she has added to the holiday. How did I ever get through the holiday's thinking I would never get the chance to be a mommy? The MAGIC, of spending it with this little person...now I know. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I LOVE having to go see the Christmas displays at the stores, EVERY SINGLE TIME we go into one. I LOVE the ride home each night and listening to her sweet comments like, ohh I LOVE there lights & ooooh that's beautiful. I LOVED letting her hang some ornaments on my tree last night... telling me how we "do's" it. I can't wait to take her to go pick out her own tree this coming weekend.

Last Friday we gave her a catalog to look at... we told her maybe she could get some ideas for what she could ask Santa for. She replied, I want that, and that, and that, and that... We said, you already have a kitchen... She said she needed "two's". And Rob said oh, you want all of that... she said no there is more pages. Great... but her untamed excitement, I will take. I LOVE IT. I know she will be excited with what ever Santa brings her.

We were getting ready this morning (I was taking Addison to Rob's mom for the day).   She was playing with her baby and said, "I'm a mom and your a mommy, right mommy". The rest went as follows:

M: yup
A: giggles and says yup, I'm a mommy.
M: Did you know that Grandma is Daddy's mommy?
A: No, no she's not.
M: Yes she is.   And Mama is my Mommy.
A: No, no she's not!   I'm your FATHER!

I think this time of year especially we are all being pulled a gazillion directions. It is easy for us to brush someone off. I AM so guilty of this. I think a friendly reminder is in order. And this says it perfectly.

As I am getting older it is easier to get over things. It's easier to put things in perspective.

With that being said - it still can take awhile to get there.

I don't like bull shit. And I don't have time for it.

I LOVE my baby girl and my wonderful husband.

There are people out there that don't have love in their life. There are people out there that never will.

BUT...

One day we will all regret what we could of done differently.

Let's fix that, let's let that be today.

If someone is buggin. Give them a smile (or go buy them a sweet tooth fairy cupcake).

And if I am buggin you.... that was a hint.

First of all THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all the men and women who have served this great country. Some have made the ultimate sacrifice along with there families... {Hero's} To think of all the spouses out there that sacrifice by not having there spouse or Daddy or Mommy there for everyday things and gone for great lengths of time, all so that we can have the freedoms that we have and take forgranted. 11/11/11 = Bunco at my house.

I made the BEST, white corn chili {thanks to Kirby}. Serioulsy.

WHITE CORN CHILI:

2 cans great northern beans

1 ½ cup chicken broth

1 chicken bullion cube

2 cups diced cooked chicken

1 ½ tsp garlic powder

1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies

1 ½ tsp Cumin
1 ½ tsp Oregano

¼ tsp Cayenne pepper

1 med onion – chopped

2 cans white corn

2 cups grated jack cheese

16 oz sour cream

**************

Sauté onions in butter or oil.

Add spices and seasonings.

Add all other ingredients (except for cheese and sour cream).

Simmer 20 min.

Add cheese and sour cream.

Cook thoroughly. DO NOT BOIL.

IT was sooooo yummy!

AND the best little pumkin pie in a jar recipe.... find it here. OMGosh it was good! Bunco has been so much fun. Sometimes I don't know if the girls are laughing at me or with me... **cheers ;)**

I LOVE to take pictures. I can't explain it. I LOVE learning about photography. I don't know that I have ever been so pationate about anything in my life. I love that my mood can be so easily can be explained in my pictures. I can't tell you how many nightmares I have had - that I am going somewhere amazing {Fiji, was one} and I didn't have my camera... so off the boat I jumped. It still sits in his orchard... AND I miss my grandpa dearly.

AND just so you know... this month. I am married to Rob Griswold. Night after night is spent watching him through the window as he freezes his lower extremities off. Seriously... the outside of my house - is that house. I have to admit... it's kind of fun.

And a quick little update on the baby girl:

It hit me the other night... I have changed my last diaper, and that makes me sad. She is doing very well and only wears pull up at night. She going through a faze were she wants to paint her room - purple. She is TWO people. Maybe she will love to decorate like her mama. I can only hope. She was so fun for Halloween... so Christmas this year - we are excited for. I love her sooo very much! And am one LUCKY and blessed wife and mommy!

Last night I was FOOT LOOSE and fancy free.... at least for a little over two hours. My friend Kirby and I snuck out to see the remake. I have to say. I LOVED it. A couple parts made us laugh.... if I walked in on my hubby dancing his heart out like that. Lets just say - I don't know what I would do.... but peeing my pants would be part of it. I'd also video it and put it on FB so you could all enjoy it. I just don't know if I find that sexy, lol. I would much rather him be sitting on the couch with a beer and holding himself with the other {I did just say that, oops}.

We totaly rocked the footloose "foot dance", lol.

{Trick or Treat 2011}

This year the weather in UT was awesome to say the least. We had 60 plus temperatures on Oct. 31

{and for the record the first snow of the year the next day - that's UT!}.

We had the Johansen's over and for Sloppy Joes and trick or treating. The daddy's took Drake and Addie out cruising the neighborhood in the Rhino. When I called to check on them after an hour, they were having too much fun to come home. I didn't take a pic {I know, boo!} but Rob decked the Rhino out in orange lights. The kido's came back with a ridiculous ammount of candy for any two year old.

I'm sure it is going to be a tradition that sticks.
