I loved the letters.  I am big on decorating with reds and greens and gold for the holidays.    I had pinned this a few weeks ago. This weekend I found these gems at Walmart for .97!   Love how they just give that added touch to our stockings.

{recap: Thanksgiving Weekend}

Four days spent with family... is HEAVEN.   

It was a super busy weekend but I am pretty sure we made the best of it.   Rob got his lights done and ready to display on Thanksgiving night.   He has actually been hired by a few other people to do there lights as well.    HOWEVER... on  Saturday night - two little jerks slashed Rob's new snowman, that wasn't cheap.  They are lucky Rob didn't find them.   I serioulsy would of let him beat the SH** right out of them.   I was sooo mad.   I can't say that I have ever seen Rob remain so calm - he sat on the lawn in the freezing weather and stiched it back up.    I can't believe that someone would do that.    It was 9 pm!  I can't talk about it anymore or the words are going to get worse.   Merry Christmas, right.

On "black friday" we hit a movie with the cousin's.   We watched Happy Feet 2.  This was Addison't second movie theater expirence.   It was still too long for her to sit still, or be quiet.  ;)

{there was a ton of cuddling this weekend.   Poor Brodie get the brunt of it.  He really has been so good with Addison.
She loves her "boys".}

I am blessed. And she is one more reason why. Knowing what I know now. Looking back on my life.


I WAS LUCKY. I WAS BLESSED.

I have a great family.
I have many many wonderful memories. Which most can be attributed to my mom.
My mom is strong, my mom is amazing.
My mom has always worked and still was able to do anything and everything for us.
At the drop of a hat was there for us.
My mom has 3 children.
THAT LOVE, RESPECT, AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HER.
And honestly.
That says ALOT.

To my mom:
Thank you. Thank you for ALWAYS loving me. ALWAYS being there for me.
Showing me what a great mother is, and helping me to be that for my own daughter.
Teaching me how precious life is.
To let the little things go.
Showing me that life is about making memories.
Always, always having my back.
Being there for me for anything...

{weekend recap and deep breathing}

This past weekend I was all amped up.  I BLAME PINTREST.   I wanted to organize, decorate, clean, cook... and do it in two days.

Saturday I asked Rob to bring the tree out of storage.   He did.  And there is sat in the box until Sunday.   I decided to paint.   I have been wanting to do it for awhile.   So I headed to Wally World (aka Walmart......., i know, i know but it's 2 min from my house).   I decided on the color - open sesame.    I was going to get this red wall covered and it was only going to take me 2 hours in my head, as it was now 1 pm.   I finished at 1am.   But it's done.   I LOVE it.   It is a huge change.   I love the contrast with my white shutters.   Try to see past the sparse decor, since my decorations where taken down to be replaced with Christmas.  It's almost exhausting how much pinterest projects.   I NEED and WANT to get done.

This was going on outside while we I was busy.

My "sweet" helper.  Offering all kinds of moral support.   She thought she scored when no one was watching her down her "chocolates".    Mommy was just too busy, lol.   *mother of the year*

I did this last night..... I don't know.   It isn't floating my boat - stay tuned.

oh ya.... and I made this.

I wanted to TRY this out - see if it was Christmas morning worthy.    It twas..... but plain old syrup I would suggest.   The icing was waaaaay to much.    You can find the recipe, here.
Again... blame Pinterest.

AFTER the holidays - I am going to attempt painting the cabinets.  I'm thinking dark and then distressing them.

{ LOVE }

What am I in LOVE with right this second...?  My life.  My family.  My husband.  My daughter & the extra MAGIC that she has added to the holiday.  How did I ever get through the holiday's thinking I would never get the chance to be a mommy?  The MAGIC, of spending it with this little person...now I know.   And I wouldn't have it any other way.   I LOVE having to go see the Christmas displays at the stores, EVERY SINGLE TIME we go into one.   I LOVE the ride home each night and listening to her sweet comments like, ohh I LOVE there lights & ooooh that's beautiful.    I LOVED letting her hang some ornaments on my tree last night...  telling me how we "do's" it.   I can't wait to take her to go pick out her own tree this coming weekend.   

Last Friday we gave her a catalog to look at... we told her maybe she could get some ideas for what she could ask Santa for.   She replied, I want that, and that, and that, and that...  We said, you already have a kitchen... She said she needed "two's".  And Rob said oh, you want all of that... she said no there is more pages.  Great... but her untamed excitement, I will take.   I LOVE IT.   I know she will be excited with what ever Santa brings her.
