Happy 60th bday Carol Cook - Addison had more than her share of cupcakes and we had a great time... giddy up Addison's bday is 2 weeks away!

Addison

is becoming more and more of a little person. The things she says just blow us away.

A: Mommy this your's?
M: Yes, it's mine.
A: Okay, I won't touch it.

M: **Sneeze**
A: Oh, bless you mommy.
M: thank you
A: your welcome

M: Damn it.
A: Damn it. **oops**

M: What happened to to your toe.
A: Shay hurt my foot.
M: What did she do?
A: I so mad at her.

A: No Shay, no.

For you see, each day I love you more

Daddy actually put his foot down and said "NO, more lip gloss". It lasted about 20 minutes... who can say no to this face. And let this serve as your warning =)

deep breaths...

last night on my way home from work, I was done. I was done answering phones, I was done dealing with clowns... it's so hard to remind yourself when you need those extra few minutes to just take a deep breath. Its even harder to remember no matter how hard you try life goes on - with or with out you. So why not? Why not just take a deep breath and and go with the flow. Last night I did. I came home to a yummy dinner ready to eat (deep breath about the dishes in the sink). I also came home to a baby girl who didn't seem so bothered by a nasty double ear infection. The rain stopped for a few hours and we, as a family enjoyed a nice walk.

**happy 4th birthday to DESMOND**

*the cute birthday boy*
*addison, maddin, Des, khloe, colton*

Yesterday Addison and I hitched a ride with mamma and papa and we headed down to Ephraim. Desmond got a water slide for his birthday and even though it was still a bit chilly the kids had fun... Addison spent most of the time taking buckets of water over to the sand box. I got some cute pictures of her and Khloe. Addison is five months older... they are fun to watch together.

tulip festival

Gorgeous beyond words. The temperature was perfect, the sun was slowly setting, and I was with my two favorite people.
And the flowers...**sigh**

**mother's day**

Yesterday was a beautiful excuse to remind myself of the blessing that I have been given. For so many years... I wanted to be a Mommy. I remember when I would watch my niece and her simple slip of the tongue, calling me 'mommy' made my day. I wanted that with all of my heart.
I remember the weekend before we found out so clearly it's weird... I remember having a conversation with Rob, we were in Moab on the cliff hanger trail in the jeep. We were talking about baby names. Weird... really weird. I remember telling him that I really needed to make an appointment with my Dr. when we get back because I swear I had another ovarian cyst - I didn't remember having cramps like that before. We came back a day early to go to the dentist. For some weird reason I took a pregnancy test before bed... there was 1 and a half lines... NEVER had I had more than one... and another weird note - I didn't tell Rob. We intended on sleeping in until the phone rang. It was my Dr's office - yet again calling me that my blood tests showed again no ovulation (I was on chlomid). They were telling me that they would again up my dose and I was to try again next month. It was early. I wasn't thinking straight. I said okay and hung up. On the way to the dentist my mom called. I told her about the test... Rob was in the back ground upset that I didn't say anything. She suggested that I call my Dr back and run it by them. I did - and they wanted me to come in for a blood test.
We went in - they drew the blood - and we sat in the waiting room until my name was called. They took us into a room. The nurse asked me when I last had my period and she took her little round thingy and told us a due date - WHAT? We both started sobbing.... I remember she got this look on her face - and asked, "was this planned"? I was going to be a mom... The Dr. did an ultra sound - we saw the heart beat... I was really really going to be a mom...!

My baby is almost two... and she tells me everyday - I love you Mommy!

**easter bunny**

the easter bunny came! and left Addison a great basket full of her favorites, Dora cell phone and coloring books, a matchbox rhino, Bambi, Up, and Nemo and more...
He also left behind some eggs! And everytime Addison picked one up she would shake it and say, "I hear sumtin!". Love being a Mommy!

...Pre-Easter...

We spent Saturday at Grandpa Rick & Grandma Kathy's. This is were Addison got her techniques down for egg hunting...

..Easter..

For the record, I love, love, love Easter! I love spring, the **newness** in the air, the birds, the bunnies, and the candy (argh!).
This year we did things a little different. We wanted to spend it with Poppy. We went to my mom's for dinner and "the best Easter egg hunt ever". My mom and dad hid over 150 eggs in the orchard along with many other goodies that made the paper bags she bought for collecting explode.
